What I have found that is of real value to sellers, buyers or tenants is that an Agent be diligent at achieving or resolving whatever objective is presented before him or her.
Of course, knowledge is of utmost importance, and a successful Agent is on a constant quest to learn more in this ever changing profession. As a Realtor, I am committed to upholding the professional standards expected of me, and more. In addition, having a well-respected, progressive company challenging and supporting its Agents is of great value to any customer or client.
I’ve practiced as a Real Estate Sales Associate, and a Broker Associate for approximately 14 years, while living in Virginia, and then later in New Mexico. I am now practicing in Florida!
Besides knowledge, an Agent is most effective when exercising finesse in negotiating. This truly comes into play while dealing with all kinds of personalities and challenges. A Real Estate exchange can be very emotional, with each party wanting to have the upper-hand ─ the seller wants to sell at the highest price, while the buyer wants to purchase at the lowest price, and everything else that comes up in between.
It is up to the Agent to strategically negotiate while treating all parties fairly, with respect and care, to ultimately arrive to a favorable outcome for all concern. And that, is the best deal!
